Motability offers drivers a chance to get mobile. Over the last 40 years, the charity has ensured that over three million people have been able to take to the road where otherwise they would not have been able to. Through a series of schemes involving the careful adaptation of vehicles to suit the specific needs of the individual, Motability delivers independence, safety and comfort to all, and here at Dalgleish we’re extremely proud to be a part of it.
We’ve assembled the most comprehensive service for Motability in the Borders, ensuring that, through each of our main manufacturers, we can offer a solution for you no matter your requirements. From smaller city cars, to larger, accessible 4x4s and the sporty types in between, the range of cars we can freely adapt for you is expansive.
Our standard lease lasts three years, or five years if you are leasing a WAV. We take care of all the below running costs, so all you need to do is add fuel and go:
If you or your child receives one of the following allowances and has at least 12 months remaining on the award, you are eligible to lease a car from Motability. To be eligible to join the Motability Scheme, you must receive one of these disability allowances:

The Motability Scheme is designed to help people that receive either Personal Independence Payment (PIP), Disability Living Allowance (DLA), War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMS) or Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP) lease a Subaru Motability vehicle. The scheme has you automatically covered for added peace of mind.
Under the Motability insurance you can add up to three named drivers and these can be changed at any time.
You can travel with peace of mind knowing that you will also have full RAC breakdown cover, so you’ll never be left stranded at the side of the road if something goes wrong.
The Motability Scheme covers all your regular servicing and maintenance, to keep your vehicle running perfectly.
If you’ve got a crack or a chip in your windscreen or flat or worn tyres these will be replaced free of charge as part of the package.
The scheme will even arrange your tax for you and renew it each year of your lease.
Over three years you’ll be able to travel 60,000 miles.
